Weighing methodology for boats weighed in April 2004:
Make sure trailer is on level ground.
1.  Remove everything from boat except for hatch boards, mainsail, mainsheet system, mast, halyards, mast rotating system, fire extinguisher(s), aft cabin cushion, outboard engine (remove fuel tank), tiller, bin covers.
2.  Empty all tanks and remove water from hulls.
3.  Drive trailer onto scales & weigh, repeat for each side.
4.  Measure height of trailer tongue from pavement while trailer is hitched to vehicle.  Remove trailer from hitch & adjust tongue height to same height when hitched.  Determine tongue weight.
5.  Launch boat.
6.  Weigh trailer when wet after launching using same method above.
Note that in April 2004, one trailer was weighed on a certified scale to verify accuracy of Corsair scales.  Certified weight 1,350, as weighed on Corsair scales 1,340.  Scales deemed to be accurate.
Note:  Three boats (hulls 221, 220, 162) were weighed in both 2003 and 2004 at the Nationals.  Each boat weighed 210 pounds less in 2004.  The 2003 weights for the Peacock/Heaton and Bryan-Brown boats were reduced by 210 pounds on the above weight table.
** Rating is for boat only and does not include adjustment for sails.
