BAMA 2004 Social Going Ons
Alameda Circumnavigation
Jan 1st.On New Year's Day, let's meet outside at Island Yacht Club (www.iyc.org) between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. for a cruise around Alameda Island either by land yacht or sea circumnavigation. The circumnavigation is essentially an open house of Alameda YC's celebrating Alameda island hood beginning historically at Aeolian YC and proceeds clockwise to Ballena Bay all the way back to IYC. Our skipper and party boat captain, the infamous Glen Fagerlin, will show us the wonders of the waterways around the Island. Dress warmly and bring your camera. Everyone is encouraged to take pictures and send to the webmaster for posting on the website. Rain or shine we will be cruising. Please RSVP to Bama-rsvp@sfbama.org if you would like to join the cruise.

Dec. 6thDate: Tue, 18 Nov 2003
From: Terri Johnson [terrijohnson at sbcglobal.net]
To: BAMA Mail List [bama at mailman.rahul.net]Mark your calendars for two upcoming fun events. The first is the lighted boat parade on Dec. 6th. Gary and Claudette have donated Jitterbug as the boat to decorate. They will have Jitterbug in Marina Village in Alameda for the weekend of the 6th. We're asking that everyone bring a string of lights or other holiday decoration and munchies. The theme for the parade this year is "Santa's Work Shop".
Come help decorate and be part of the Lighted Boat Parade. Let's show the estuary who BAMA is. We'll send out the time and more details next week.

To: BAMA Mail List [bama at mailman.rahul.net]The last minute details have finally been worked out for the parade. We'll start decorating the boat this Saturday in Alameda at Marina Village gate 8 between 12:00-1:00, rain or shine. If you go to Map Quest, www.mapquest.com, and enter Oakland Yacht Clubs' address, 1101 Pacific Marina, you'll find directions. As you're driving up to the yacht club gate 8 is to your left. Jitterbug, a big warm Catana 43, will be at the guest dock which is very close to the gate. We'll be watching for you but you might need to call me to be let into the gate. Please bring any Christmas decorations you care to share for the night and your favorite munchie. The parade starts at 4:30 and judging is in font of Jack London Square. The boat leaves the dock at 4:15 and last minute arrivals are fine. Everyone is welcome to ride in the parade. After the parade we can walk over to Encinal Yacht Club and warm up by the fire. Encinal also serves dinner for those of us that want to eat. Be sure to bring your cameras. So far I have Rich and family, Tint and Dave, Don and Terri, Gary and Glaudette, and Bob. Anyone else care to join us??
Hope to see you all there
